We have now completed our move to 102 High Street. There is a great deal of work still required before we can open to the public. We hope to have one of the rooms completed by mid-July, to allow us to hold our annual exhibition this year is “Burntisland: Port of Grace”. The permanent home for the popular railway model, “Burntisland 1883” located in the adjoining hall will be up and running once repairs have been completed to the halls’ fabric. The East of Scotland 4 mm Group, who own the model are looking forward to having a permanent base for this well-travelled and popular exhibition.
We also hope to provide a visual update on our long term search for the baggage ferry of King Charles I, lost off Burntisland in 1633. This will be a defining year for our quest and hopefully the culmination of nearly 30 years of dogged determination by our chairman, Ian Archibald. Watch this space !!!!
All of our facilities are available to the public and our members and volunteers are always keen to assist. We hold extensive records on the town, its industries and people, come and see for yourself.

Summer Fair Cut-Outs
In planning our move to the upper library hall, we discovered a number of cut-outs from a previous exhibition. These are about 25 years old and were all photographs of local children in Edwardian dress. We will be offering them to friends and families for a small donation to our funds. Heritage Meeting Space
As can be seen from these photographs we have acquired a marvellous space to promote the heritage of the town. We are concentrating on the Meeting Hall now to prepare for our delayed Summer Exhibition, “Burntisland: Port of Grace”. The slightly larger “Exhibition Hall”, will house the “Burntisland 1883” model railway layout as well as our fantastic collection of model ships. Unfortunately, this will not be in-situ until later in the year. This will give us a period to ensure that the space is fully refurbished.
