The Elie and Earlsferry Environmental Action Group (EAG)

What the group does

The Elie and Earlsferry Environmental Action Group (EAG) works with the Community Council to maintain and enhance the village. Over recent years the small dedicated team of volunteers has ensured there are plenty of planters and tubs to add colour and enhance the village. The team has also renovated the Toll Green Bus Shelter plus the War Memorial. They have also renewed railings in Hyde Park and refurbished Toll Green. They have purchased new notice boards, information panels, benches and picnic tables, located around the village.

New volunteers are always welcome.

Funding and awards

The EAG needs to raise money to fund not just the annual maintenance of plants, tubs and boats, but also to take on new projects, such as renewing benches, replacing planters, purchasing picnic tables, painting fences and railings, etc. Due to the efforts of the EAG team, Elie & Earlsferry has been awarded successive Silver Gilt Awards by Beautiful Fife Best Kept Villages.
